What puppy-s.com collects, why, and how to make us stop.

Last updated 22 August 2026

In plain English

The short version: we collect your email address only if you give it to us, we use analytics to see which guides are useful, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data at any time.

The long version is below, because the short version is not a legal notice.

Who we are

This site is puppy-s.com. For data protection purposes the data controller is legal entity name, registered address, country.

You can reach us at privacy@yourdomain.com or through our contact page.

What we collect

Information you give us.

Information collected automatically.

We do not ask for, and have no use for, payment details. Purchases happen on the retailer’s own site, never on ours.

Why we use it, and on what basis

Your email address is used to send the guide you asked for and, if you opted in, occasional updates. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Analytics data is used to understand which guides help people and which need rewriting. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running and improving the site. If you serve EU/UK visitors, confirm whether your analytics needs consent instead

Email and newsletters

Our email is handled by email provider, e.g. Mailchimp / ConvertKit / Brevo, who process your address on our behalf under their own privacy terms.

Sign-up is single or double opt-in. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list immediately. We never sell, rent or share your email address with a third party for their own marketing.

Analytics and cookies

We use analytics tool, e.g. Google Analytics 4 / Plausible / Fathom to measure traffic. State whether IP addresses are anonymised

The cookies and similar technologies this site sets are:

If you serve EU/UK visitors you need a consent banner that blocks non-essential cookies until consent is given — name the tool you use here

Affiliate links and third-party tracking

Worth knowing

When you click an affiliate link, the retailer or affiliate network sets its own cookie on your device so it can attribute a purchase to us. That cookie belongs to them, not to us, and it is governed by their privacy policy — not this one.

We never receive your name, address, payment details or order contents from these programmes. What we see is an anonymous report saying a sale happened.

Our commercial relationships are set out in full on the affiliate disclosure page.

Who we share information with

We share personal data only with:

We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months.

Some of these providers are based outside your country. If you have EU/UK visitors, name the transfer safeguard you rely on — e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and for retention period, e.g. 24 months after that in a suppression list so we do not accidentally email you again. Analytics data is retained for analytics retention period.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

To exercise any of them, email privacy@yourdomain.com. We will respond within response window, e.g. 30 days. You may need to confirm your identity first, so that we do not hand your data to someone else.

If you are in the UK or EU and you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to your national data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Children

This site is written for adults bringing home a puppy. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 or 16, depending on the jurisdictions you serve. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

Security, and changes to this policy

The site is served over HTTPS and access to the email list is restricted to people who need it. No website can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. If the change is significant and affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell subscribers by email rather than quietly editing the page.

Want a copy of your data, or want it deleted?

Email privacy@yourdomain.com and say which. You do not need to give a reason, and it will not affect anything else.
